Illini eyeing DIII transfer three-point specialist

With a couple of spots on the roster to fill, the Illinois basketball team is continuing to eye transfers across the nation.

Two transfers have already been added to the roster in Omar Payne and Alfonso Plummer. Payne is going to help solidify the No. 5 spot while Plummer will help on the wing. But I wouldn’t mind adding another scoring guard to the mix who can light it up from three-point range. That seems to be the mindset for the Illini as well.

Arizona basketball hires three staffers with Gonzaga ties to work under Tommy Lloyd

The Arizona Wildcats retained assistant coaches Jack Murphy and Jason Terry to work under Tommy Lloyd, but his latest staff additions have ties to Gonzaga.

TJ Benson will serve as special assistant to the head coach/recruiting coordinator, Ken Nakagawa will be the director of advanced scouting and Rem Bakamus is joining as the director of player development.
