An Oklahoma senator on Tuesday proposed “honoring” former University of Oklahoma football coach Lincoln Riley by naming a 3-inch portion of state highway after him, according to a news release.

Everything Lance Leipold said after Jayhawks’ nail-biting loss to Oklahoma

One of the biggest talks of Saturday’s Week 8 college football slate was Kansas giving Oklahoma a major scare before losing 35-23. Kansas led No. 3 Oklahoma by 10 at halftime and after the Sooners scored a third-quarter touchdown, the Jayhawks responded with a seven-point score of their own. In Year 1 of the Lance Leipold era, where things have been rough, it was certainly progress.

The Sooners and Longhorns look to join the ranks of the SEC — something that might not be exactly destined to happen. Should OU and Texas apply to become members, a vote from the SEC would be required to get them to join. Should three

And it could get even better.

We talk about that in the video above on this week’s Wiltfong Whiparound.
